We Love Summer!
Summertime is lots of things - reading bunches of good books, popsicles, going to the Library, puppet shows, icecream, swimming -

Sign up for the “Build a Better World” Summer Reading Program.  There are activities & summer reading programs for all ages!  Here are just a few of the many fun events scheduled at the Library this summer. 

Reading Games - Be sure to stop in the Library and sign up for our Summer Reading Games!  All ages read books, of their choice, and complete activities.  Earn prizes and a pass for the Library pool party!  Summer is a perfect time to enjoy lots and lots of good books.

Teens: June 16 Zombie Apocalypse from 5-8:00 pm and June 29 Iowa's Most Haunted Locations from 6:30-7:30 pm.
 
For Kids of All Ages:  On June 8 Magician Rick Eugene will present a magic show at 2:00pm, on June 14 participate in awesome experiments during Absolute Science at 11:00 am, on July 6 Blank Park Zoo at 11:00 am, on July 11 Jester Puppets presents "Iowa Jones and the Search for the Last Mummy!" at 11:00 am.  On August 1 Grout Museum - Waterloo, "Build a Better World" program at 11:00 am for kids going into grades K-6.
 
Monday Movies!  You can beat the heat and join us at the Library for a free family movie and popcorn each Monday starting June 12th at 2:00 pm.
