Tai Chi: Moving for Better Balance is a nationally recognized, researched-based balance training program that, when practiced regularly, can reduce the risk of falls.  This Yang-style of Tai Chi teaches balance skills and good body alignment by using coordinated, relaxed flowing movements.  While the program is open to any interested individual age 18 and older, the course is designed for community-dwelling older adults aged 60 and older, who can walk easily with or without assistive devices.  Wear comfortable clothing and sturdy shoes.  There will be a little homework for practice following each progressive session.  This free class is taught by a certified instructor.  Registration is required; call the library at 515-462-1731.  Your registration is for the full four-week series.
